ㅤô¿ô …It’s unfortunate. But I agree with him. The Dems would be fools not to nominate Beto.
ㅤ"Early opinion polls on the 2020 race have consistently ranked O’Rourke in the top tier of contenders, behind former Vice President Joe Biden, who has not yet said whether he is running, and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a 2016 Presidential contender who announced his 2020 candidacy last month."
ㅤô¿ô …The waiting game between Biden and Beto is over. Biden won’t run because he no longer feels obligated to run.

ㅤô¿ô …Beto also sees that the current group of Washington insiders who have entered the race are all losers wasting their money. Beto is probably waiting for Biden’s decision before potentially wasting his own money.

ㅤô¿ô …I still believe that if Beto runs and the GOP fails to dig up serious dirt on Beto (they have already started searching for it), then Beto will be the next President. I’m pretty sure the Vegas odds-makers will agree. It doesn’t matter what Crenshaw thinks.

ㅤ"An official at the Republican National Committee said they’ve already compiled a ‘hefty’ book on O’Rourke as part of their extensive 2020 opposition research ‘and will continue to add to it.’ Examples include his voting record and a drunken driving arrest in 1998.
ㅤO’Rourke’s ties to the oil and gas industry are also among the issues being scrutinized by GOP operatives. In the 2017–2018 cycle he had the second highest amount in contributions from the industry, trailing only Republican Ted Cruz, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.’"

ㅤô¿ô …Again I say Beto is the only Dem who surely would beat Trump, as Beto is the only Dem who would get enough Republican votes.
ㅤBeto’s loss in Texas is practically meaningless. Because there is a higher percentage of Dems nationwide than there is in Texas.
ㅤNot nominating Beto would be like not nominating JFK. In 2020 we will thank God if Dems are too ignorant of history to see this.

ㅤô¿ô …Not necessarily. Boomers remember Richard Nixon.

ㅤô¿ô …They don’t like Beto because he’s White. They don’t like Beto because he isn’t a true liberal. Two characteristics that would insure a landslide victory for Beto in 2020. The Democrats are dumb asses. They will find a way to lose.

ㅤ”O’Rourke, who earned a groundswell of national attention in 2018, was ranked third with 7 percent, garnering more support than other frequently touted potential challengers.
ㅤThe outgoing Democratic congressman lost his bid last month to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) by a surprisingly narrow margin in a deep-red state. O’Rourke is now leaving the door open to a White House bid.
ㅤ’Beto is the kind of fresh face who could shake up the Democratic race,’ said Mark Penn, co-director of Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll. ‘He starts off by blowing past some well-known names. Biden loses support upon his entry.'”
ㅤô¿ô …Harris would certainly need to bow out or risk starting a race war within the Dem party.

ㅤô¿ô …The title is meant to be satire. Unfortunately it is not. But the candidate is not John Kerry. It’s Beto O’Rourke. Beto has so many things going for him that I don’t see how Beto could lose:
1) Beto can win Texas in the electoral college.
2) Beto is a White male whose district is 80% Hispanic.
3) Beto will be popular with young voters because he is only 46 years old.
4) Beto was born in El Paso so he can claim first hand experience with illegal immigration.
5) Unlike the rest of the Dem hopefuls, Beto hasn’t achieved sufficient notoriety in Congress to be viewed as a Washington insider. As observed in recent history, insiders are destined to lose.
6) Hollywood is falling in love with Beto.
7) Obama is already praising Beto.
8) Even though Beto spouts progressive rhetoric, he will likely turn out to be a conservative Dem. For example, Beto voted against DACA. Hell. I myself am sick of Trump’s lies not accomplishing anything. I might even vote for Beto.
The future doesn’t look good for the GOP.

ㅤô¿ô …Keep reminding yourself that everything good that’s said about Beto O’Rourke is bullshit. The only thing that counts is Beto would likely win Texas in the 2020 presidential election.

ㅤ”BetDSI released betting lines Monday that ranked Mr. O’Rourke as the person to beat following his failed bid to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas, giving him +500 odds of capturing his party’s nomination.
ㅤ’With the amount of publicity the Texas race received, as well as the media’s affection with O’Rourke, there’s been a steady stream of bets on Beto in 2020,’ said Brent Corobotuic, head linesman at BetDSI.
ㅤMr. O’Rourke is followed by Sens. Kamala Harris of California (+550) and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts (+800) as well as former Vice President Joseph R. Biden and Sen. Bernard Senders of Vermont, both of whom come in at +1,000.”
ㅤô¿ô …There is sound logic to a ticket of O’Rourke (TX) and Sherrod Brown (OH). Winning Texas and Ohio would deliver 47 electoral votes that the Dems did not have in 2016. Add those votes to what Clinton won in 2016 and presto…Beto becomes the President in 2020.

BETO O’ROURKE: SENATE CAMPAIGN NOT A REFERENDUM ON DONALD TRUMPㅤ
Pictured: Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas
ㅤô¿ô …Beto’s assessment will be generally true for all midterm elections. Healthcare remains one of the major concerns of all Americans. By anyone’s measure, Congressional Republicans are responsible for not making any improvements to healthcare. The people saw the Republicans’ vendetta against Obamacare at its worst.
ㅤThe Dems and the media can say “Trumpcare” all they want. But the people know better. If Republicans lose seats in Congress, they have themselves to blame. Perhaps the GOP deserves the loss.
