ㅤô¿ô …Scumbags. Not a single one of them cited the Republicans’ FAILURE to pass healthcare reform, which the real reason they have slim chance of being re-elected.
ㅤCongress also failed to fund the border wall, pass immigration reform or provide country-wide infrastructure funding. They did manage to pass the biggest spending bill in GOP history, which included funding for planned parenthood, funding for New York City infrastructure and a huge increase in defense spending to please the egomaniac John McCain.
ㅤThen these pussies have the gall to claim President Trump made them quit before being defeated.

ㅤ”Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is moving to banking reform legislation — not gun control or other responses to the high school shooting in Florida — next week in the Senate.
ㅤMcConnell has filed a motion to have a procedural vote Tuesday on legislation sponsored by Senate Banking Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho). After that, McConnell hopes to move to legislation addressing sex trafficking, according to GOP sources.
ㅤLegislation addressing the Florida high school shooting, the subject of contentious conversations between President Trump and GOP lawmakers at a White House meeting televised live on cable news Wednesday, will wait.”

ㅤ”Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday promised to take up an immigration bill protecting an estimated 800,000 Dreamers from deportation and allow an open amendment process if Democrats agree to reopen the government.
ㅤThe Senate will vote at noon on a three-week funding resolution to end the government shutdown that began at midnight Saturday. The legislation includes an extension of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
ㅤDemocrats have been pressing McConnell for a vote on the Dreamers legislation, and it is unclear whether his latest commitments will be enough to win them over.
ㅤWith some Republicans expected to vote against the bill, nearly a dozen Democratic votes will likely be needed to clear a 60-vote procedural hurdle.”

ㅤ”The Senate is expected to hold a procedural vote at 1 a.m. Monday on a three-week stopgap measure to reopen the government.
ㅤSenate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had warned earlier that he would force a procedural vote if senators could not reach an agreement. Absent a deal, 1 a.m. is the earliest the Senate would be able to hold such a vote.
ㅤSen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he thinks negotiators could be close to a breakthrough, but immigration issues are still a sticking point.”

ㅤ”Congress adopted the ‘Byrd Rule’ in 1985, which bars any ‘extraneous measures’ that do not directly change revenues or expenditures from getting included in a reconciliation bill. Typically, the Senate parliamentarian makes a judgment on each provision of a bill to see if it has a direct impact on the federal budget.
ㅤCustomarily, before leadership moves forward with a bill under reconciliation rules, the Senate’s parliamentarian analyzes any objections that senators raise to provisions in the bill they feel do not meet reconciliation requirements. All provisions have to be germane to the bill and have a direct impact on the budget. The Senate parliamentarian typically makes a ruling on whether or not each provision meets those requirements and advises the presiding officer (Pence or another senator in his absence) on which provisions should stay.
ㅤPence has the ability to work around the parliamentarian. It is the President of the Senate, not the parliamentarian, who makes the ruling on what is permissible under reconciliation and what is not, a historian at the U.S. Senate Historical Office told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The parliamentarian has a purely advisory role.”

ㅤ”Democrats’ narrow path back to the Senate majority in 2018 runs directly through Arizona, and a Republican hold there would close it completely. Democrats currently have 48 senators, three seats shy of a majority, and have to defend 10 states Trump won.
